Mr H Carpets & Flooring – Southampton & Hampshire
1. General
These Terms and Conditions apply to all flooring estimates, sales, and installation services provided by Mr H Carpets & Flooring. By placing an order with us, visiting our showroom, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Quotations & Estimates

All quotations are free, valid for 30 days from the date of issue, and subject to a site survey.

Quotations are based on the information provided at the time. Any changes to room sizes, materials, or installation requirements may result in a revised quote.

Estimates based on architectural drawings or estate agent floor plans are provisional until a personal site visit is completed.
3. Orders & Deposits

Orders are confirmed upon receipt of a signed order form or written acceptance, along with any required deposit.

A minimum deposit of 50% may be required for custom orders, special products, or high-value installations.

We reserve the right to refuse orders at our discretion.
4. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability. In the rare case of discontinued or delayed items, we will offer a suitable alternative or a full refund of any relevant deposit.
5. Installation
-
Installation dates are scheduled following product availability and customer confirmation.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that rooms are clear of furniture and flooring prior to installation unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Mr H Carpets & Flooring is not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen site conditions or third-party trades.
6. Site Conditions

Subfloor conditions must be dry, level, and structurally sound. Any necessary remedial work (e.g., screeding, damp-proofing) will incur an additional charge if not agreed in advance.

We cannot be held responsible for issues arising from hidden defects, such as underfloor damp or structural movement, discovered during installation.
7. Payment Terms

Full payment is due upon completion of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Late payments may be subject to interest charges at 2% per month.

Title to all goods remains with Mr H Carpets & Flooring until full payment has been received.
8. Warranties
-
All flooring products are covered by manufacturer warranties.

Our installation work is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion against faults in workmanship.

Warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, negligence, improper cleaning, water ingress, or general wear and tear.
9. Returns & Cancellations
-
Made-to-measure or cut-to-size items (e.g., carpets, vinyl, runners) are non-returnable once cut or fitted.

Orders may only be cancelled or amended within 48 hours of confirmation, and may incur restocking or admin fees.

Refunds will only be processed to the original payment method.
10. Liability
-
We take every precaution to protect your property during installation. However, we cannot accept liability for damage to decorations or fixtures during normal fitting processes (e.g., scuffed paint, minor scratches).

Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the service or product.
11. Showroom & Home Visit Policy

Free personal home visits are currently limited to showroom visitors and customers in the SO postcode area.

We reserve the right to limit or decline home visits or free services based on distance, availability, or business capacity.
12. Privacy

Any customer information collected is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders and providing service. We do not share your data with third parties without consent, except where legally required.
13. Changes to Terms
Mr H Carpets & Flooring reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately.
